Make the Switch

Why Choose an Electric Ride-On Mower?

Switching to an electric riding mower isn’t just about going green. It’s about making mowing simpler.

With a battery powered riding lawn mower or electric zero turn mower, you get:

  • Zero direct emissions
  • Significantly lower noise levels
  • Less routine maintenance

Which Suits Your Garden?

Contrast and Compare

Both the ERX96 Electric Riding Mower and the EZX107 Electric Zero Turn Mower are built on the same advanced 72 V LiFePO₄ battery platform. Both deliver up to one hour of runtime and come supplied with a fast charger and mulching plug as standard. You’ll also find practical features on each model, including integrated LED headlights, a clear digital display, USB charging ports, a convenient cup holder and an hour meter to keep track of your mowing time. Even cleaning up is straightforward, thanks to a built-in wash port on the mower deck.

So how do you decide, if both offer the same electric foundation and practical features? The difference lies in how they handle your garden. While they share the same battery platform and core conveniences, they’re designed around two distinct mowing experiences. Let’s take a closer look at what sets them apart:

ERX96 FL

ERX96 Electric Riding Mower

With a 96 cm stamped steel deck and up to 1 hour of runtime (up to 5,000 m² per charge), it’s ideal for small to medium-sized gardens with open space to cover.

Why choose the ERX96 electric riding mower?

  • Familiar steering wheel control
  • Compact and easy to manoeuvre
  • Faster 2-hour recharge time
  • Lightweight, stable handling
  • 7 cutting height positions (38–114 mm)

Inspired by the classic Snapper rider, the ERX96 brings that familiar steering wheel control into a new electric era, ideal for open lawns and straightforward mowing.

Ezx107 FR

EZX107 Electric Zero Turn Mower

With true zero-turn capability, it pivots smoothly around trees, borders and garden features. It runs for up to 1 hour per charge (up to 7,000 m²).

Why choose the EZX107 electric zero turn mower?

  • True zero-turn manoeuvrability (0° turning radius)
  • Wider 107 cm deck for greater coverage and higher productivity
  • Adjustable drive and blade speeds
  • Suspended seat with armrests for enhanced comfort
  • 12 cutting height positions (38–114 mm)

If your garden has curves, obstacles or tighter spaces, the EZX107 is designed to navigate them with ease, combining zero-turn precision and efficient coverage in one smooth electric package.

performance you can rely on

Powered by Advanced LiFePO₄ Battery Technology

Both the ERX96 and EZX107 are built around a 72 V LiFePO₄ (LFP) battery system, a safer, more advanced alternative to traditional lead-acid batteries.

Unlike older battery systems, LiFePO₄ technology delivers stable voltage under load. That means consistent cutting performance from the first pass to the last, without the power fading as the charge drops. Designed for long service life and excellent thermal stability, the battery is maintenance-free and built specifically for ride-on mowing performance. There’s no fuel system, no engine oil, no spark plugs and no exhaust components to worry about.

Charging is straightforward. Both models come supplied with a high-output 15 A charger as standard. Simply plug into a 220–240 V supply and recharge fully in just 2 hours (ERX96) or around 3 hours (EZX107).

And for added peace of mind, both models are backed by a 5-year limited battery warranty.

All about Electric Ride-On Mowers: FAQs from Homeowners

What is the difference between an electric riding mower and an electric zero turn mower?

An electric riding mower, like the Snapper ERX96, uses a traditional steering wheel and is ideal for open lawns.

An electric zero turn mower, like the EZX107, uses independent drive controls to pivot on the spot. With a 0° turning radius, it’s designed for sharper manoeuvring around trees, borders and tighter areas.

Is LiFePO₄ battery technology safe?

LiFePO₄ (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology is known for its excellent thermal stability and long service life. Compared to traditional lead-acid systems, it provides safer operation, stable voltage under load and consistent performance throughout the mowing session.

Both models are backed by a 5-year limited battery warranty for added peace of mind.

How long does an electric riding lawn mower battery last?

Both the ERX96 and EZX107 deliver up to 1 hour of runtime on a single charge. Actual runtime depends on grass conditions, terrain and cutting height.

The ERX96 can cover up to approximately 5,000 m² per charge, while the EZX107 can manage up to approximately 7,000 m² thanks to its wider deck and higher productivity.

How long does it take to charge an electric ride-on mower?

The ERX96 fully recharges in just 2 hours, while the EZX107 is ready to go again in around 3 hours. Both models come supplied with a high-output charger and plug straight into a standard 220–240 V socket.

How large a garden can a battery-powered riding mower cut?

The ERX96 Electric Riding Mower is ideal for small to medium-sized gardens, covering up to 5,000 m² per charge.

The EZX107 Electric Zero Turn Mower can handle up to 7,000 m² per charge, making it well suited for slightly larger gardens or more complex garden layouts.

Do electric riding mowers require maintenance?

Electric ride-on mowers require significantly less maintenance than petrol models.

There’s no engine oil to change, no spark plugs, no fuel filters and no exhaust system. The LiFePO₄ battery system is maintenance-free, and routine care mainly involves blade checks, deck cleaning and general inspection, just like any mower.

Can I charge my phone while mowing?

Yes. Both models include USB-A and USB-C charging ports, allowing you to charge your phone or other devices while you mow.

Do Snapper’s electric ride-on mowers come with a warranty?

Yes. Both the ERX96 Electric Riding Mower and the EZX107 Electric Zero Turn Mower come with a 2-year limited warranty as standard. When you register your mower, you receive an additional third year of coverage, giving you a total of up to 3 years for extra peace of mind.

The LiFePO₄ battery is covered separately by a 5-year limited warranty.
